Removing the inner module from a Stream Deck XL
Removing the faceplate from a Stream Deck XL can be difficult. A supdger tool and picks can be used to release the clips around the perimeter. A less precise method is to wedge a sharp metal paint scraper into the seam and twist it slightly. Hold the Stream Deck upside down and shake it to remove the inner module.
Unscrew the USB PCB from the Stream Deck’s original enclosure. Transfer it to the USB Plate.
MOUNTING MODULES TO THE DECK RACK 3U
Remove the silver nuts and standoffs using a 1/4” hex driver and insert the Stream Deck module. After making sure the Stream Deck module is aligned with the button cutouts, reinstall the nuts and standoffs in the same spots.
Use the included screws and nuts to attach the USB circuit board to its mounting plate.
Screw the USB mounting plate to the standoffs using the included screws. Be sure to check the pin header between the main module and the USB board is aligned!
